While watching the Free Dance tonight on the Olympics, it reminded me of these Cinnamon Swirl Cookies.  Lots of twirls, swirls and good fun.  Okay, maybe that's a little cheesy, but these cookies are to die for.  My hubby LOVES these cookies and if you're a cinnamon roll fan, you'll love them too.  I use pecans instead of walnuts, but feel free to use your favorite.

A classic cookie for Valentine's Day -- heart shaped shortbread dipped in chocolate.   Mmmmm.  I think I would like to roll the chocolate dipped side of the cookie in finely chopped pecans.  What a beautiful and scrumptious cookie!

Today was a stormy day in the desert so what could be better than baking?  I know . . . I'm on vacation.  But I can't seem to get away from baking.  It's a passion that I love.  I want to share some of the pictures from my baking experience today.  I'm not in my home kitchen so sometimes you have to make do with what you have.  It was a fun challenge and the cookies turned out beautiful!

Here is a fun way to serve brownies that everyone will love.  I saw this brownie pop pan at Michael's so I had to try it.  It's very easy and the kids will love rolling the brownie pops in their own toppings.

I made chocolate chip cookies tonight to take to a friend of mine.  They're his absolute favorite and refuses to share with anyone.  If you like chocolate chip cookies that have a tender crisp outside and a gooey soft inside, this is the recipe for you!  My hubbie and I prefer them with pecans but my friends likes 'em straight up.  Find them under "Karen's Favorites" and they're called Beth's Chocolate Chip Cookies.
