Here's a classic recipe that I know Mom will love. Your house will smell soooo good while baking these cookies. The aroma of cinnamon and cloves will have you waiting by the oven door! Great tip when making these cookies -- don't over bake them. You want these cookies to remain soft, not crunchy. Tagged in: baking
I have to admit, I'm on a bikini diet for my 15th wedding anniversary coming up in August. I live a fairly healthy lifestyle with exercise and healthy diet, but could stand to lose a few pounds due to my "sweet addiction". I came across this recipe and thought it sounded delicious as well as healthy so I thought I should share it with y'all. Let me know what you think. Click here for the recipe: Tagged in: baking
I've seen a lot of recipes for Easter basket cupcakes, but I finally found one for Easter basket cookies. These are adorable and I know the kids would love to help make and/or fill these delicious baskets to give as gifts or for your Easter table. They're a lot easier to make than you think. I know you all love to support the Girl Scouts just as much as I do, but I want to share with you some awesome recipes based on the infamous Girl Scout Cookies. This one is my favorite Girl Scout Cookie -- Thin Mints. I especially love them frozen. If you run out of cookies, try making these yourself. You can have them anytime of the year! I was searching for St. Patrick's Day cookie recipes for kids and came across this recipe that looked so delicious, I had to share it with you. This recipe is definitely not for kids. It has a cookie type crust and rich filling made with sweetened condensed milk, Irish cream and coffee granules. I especially love that the whipped cream is made fresh with whipping cream, brown sugar, 1 tbsp Irish cream liqueur and vanilla. It makes this easy recipe look and taste gourmet. What a perfect way to start and/or end your St. Patrick's Day celebration. Tagged in: baking
Everyone will be clapping for these fantastic, five-fingered favorites! The kids will love personalizing these cookies by tracing around their own hands and making a template to cut out the cookies. They're also very easy to decorate using chocolates and candies. Find the recipe here: Tagged in: baking
This is one of the easiest and tastiest gingerbread recipes I've come across so I have to share it with all you gingerbread lovers out there! The recipe includes an easy orange frosting which is a great compliment to the gingerbread. I love using red, green and white colors on my cookie tray mixed with the deep browns of chocolate and pecans, but I'm not a fan of peppermint. These cookies make a beautiful addition to my cookie tray using cherry instead of peppermint. It's a hit in our house! Click here for the recipe:
This is the project I told you I was creating for the IAAP Silent Auction. It turned out really great. Looks better in person than in the pictures. I'll share with you the step-by-step process. What's great about it is you can take off one cookie at a time and the wreath still looks good. It would be great for an office or a home party.
